Welcome to the NLGF website.

This website has been created to present the aims and activities of the National Lesbian and Gay Federation (NLGF).

The NLGF is an Irish voluntary non-governmental organisation (NGO) working for the betterment of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) people. For the past 22 years, the NLGF has published GCN as a free resource for Ireland’s LGBT community. More recently, the NLGF carried out the Burning Issues survey to identify the key issues of concern to them, and held symposia bringing experts from across the world to discuss the political and social movement towards equal partnership rights for LGBT people in Ireland.

The NLGF also present an annual awards ceremony, The GALAS, which celebrate contributions to the positive development of LGBT life in Ireland.

None of its members receive remuneration for their time and efforts in carrying out the aims of the NLGF.
